If you want to skip the crappy half, the good news is halfway down.

Where do I start? I can’t really say I’ve been happy with this semester. I’ve already turned in one late paper, with a penalty of a letter grade, so it turned out to be a B instead of an A. I really could have used that A too considering how crappy I did on the midterm in that class. I’ve got to do another paper that is already late, again, with the penalty of a letter grade. This one just happens to be 10 pages though, rather than 4. I’ve completely missed two papers, one for one class which was 10% and the other for another which was 15% so I can say that the only class I might get actual credit for towards my major is my Italian class, which blows. Really blows. I have to AT LEAST get a C in my other classes, and no, C- doesn’t count. It’s been so shitty this semester probably because I’ve been too worried about money since my job only wants to give me between $50 and $70 a week. Yeah, can’t survive on that. Do they care? Not really…I’m going home for the Christmas break (which is 3 weeks) and my job down here told me that I may not have a spot when I come back for next term. I can’t afford to stay in Orlando for that three weeks making less than $100 a week. If I don’t have my job when I come back, I can do an internship and I’ll have to make money somewhere else. It would be really nice not to worry about work, but I really do need the money. I have payments to make and apparently my bosses don’t understand that. “Oh, well we don’t have the hours to give out.” But you can stick one person on a 3 hour shift to fend for themselves. Niiicee…The muscles in my back, more specifically my shoulders, have felt like they are going to burst into flames for about 4 days now. Last time I had this problem I was still working at Publix. How did I fix it? I had to get a Cortisone shot in my shoulder and wear a sling for a week. I really don’t want to do that again. Maybe I need to see a chiropractor. Joy.

******On a good note, William and I are engaged!! He proposed to me October 11th, but I haven’t been able to make anything public yet because we waited until Thanksgiving to inform his family. Since most of his family was there for Thanksgiving, we thought it would be easier to make the announcement then. A simple way to avoid making a lot of phone calls. Also, almost everyone at B&N St. Augustine knows too. *Most* people are pretty happy about it, I know I am. =) I can say though that I’m sure there are a few who aren’t so thrilled.=( What’s nice though, is I really don’t care because I love him more than anyone could ever imagine and it makes me so incredibly happy to know that I am going to spend the rest of my life with a man who respects me and is honest with me and loves me so much. *squee* The engagement though, is probably going to last about 3 or 4 years. We decided on a long engagement mainly because we want to wait until I graduate to get married. I told him “the last thing I want to do is go on a honeymoon and then come back saying ‘Alright, had a nice time…I’m going back to grandma’s house now.’” So as of right now, there isn’t any planning going on, but give it about two years and I’ll be planning like crazy! I do know one solid fact though: my sister will be my Maid of Honor. She was so excited when I told her about the engagement. Well, actually my MOM told her, but I could hear her freaking out in the background. Oh, and I also know another thing. My cousin Lizzie will most likely be the flower girl…she’ll be 7 or so. Anyways, she is the only little girl I know that is in the family that could cut it as a flower girl. And she is SO CUTE! Other than that though, nothing is really solid.

*yawn* Tired and I have to practice for my oral presentation in Italian tomorrow.

Ciao!!

YES!! I'm STILL alive!! (not like anyone may really care... :P )

The move went well. I'm all settled into my apartment and the cat is doing great...even with the little dachshund running around. My room is a mess, but that's not really a surprise. My bed is SUPER comfortable, which IS a surprise. My roommates upstairs are super-freaking cool. Katie and I are like....the same people. It's really awesome. Jackie is the PhD student that's only here 3 days out of the week, but while she is here, she gives my kitty super-mushy lovin' if I have to go to work or something. So far I have been home 3, maybe 4 times since I've been here. I try to go home every other weekend. I do miss teh William...very much so. I get to go home next on Halloween. :)

School is going okay. I'm trying to keep up with as much work as I have but it's not going as well as I want. I have SO much reading....but, I'm managing. All of my midterms are done and the class that I'm probably doing best in is either my Italian class or my US History class. I'd be ecstatic with B's this semester. That may sound bad, but this crap is HARD. :P

Work is going okay. I like the other store better, but I'm just glad to have a job. I'm not getting nearly as many hours as I need, but it's money. I may not be able to make my car payment this month, but I need to do that, and feed my cat, and make a credit card payments...and with the hours I'm getting, it's going to be tight. Gas is my last priority since I do have my bike. Then again, like I said, at least I have a job.

Anyways...I know this was a short post...but I put everything important down. :)

She's been sick so....I guess that pretty much explains it. She was walking in circles, and falling down the stairs, and rolling her eyes in the back of her head like some crazy rock band's lead singer. I saw her last week when I was in North Carolina and she seemed pretty out of it the whole time. At least I got to give her some cute puppy loving before she died. Harley was about 9. We got her as a puppy when lady, our other black lab, was hit by a car. She was about 9 also. The problem with labs is around 8 or so their hips start to give out and they get really arthritic. Now all they have is Dixie...a yellow lab who I really don't care about because she isn't my dog. Yeah, she's cute, but she also likes to lick your face and ears when you're trying to sleep. Then there's Sissy, a Walker coon dog who lives outside and just likes to hide under the dog house. I think the most I saw of her last week was her tail. Lol.

I'm going to miss my puppy. :(

I don't know what percentage of my people population knows this, but I officially have my apartment down in Orlando. I move in August 17th. So awesome! Along with that apartment came a $500 Visa Gift Card just for signing a lease. Hooray! Free money! (well, technically not if you really think about it...but then that takes all the fun away). Anyways. Today Grandma took me to Target to get stuffs for my awesome new apartment. This is what we got:

*Desk Lamp
*Bed-in-a-bag <--comes with everything; it's polka dots :P
*Two storage bins for under my bed
*Floor lamp <---One top lamp with three snake neck lights around it
*Some plates and bowls <---they're blue and the bowls and plates are in a set of 6, and they were like...$4 total! Couldn't pass that up!
*A monkey and tree salt and pepper shaker <---also too cute to pass up
*Toothbrush holder
*Two towels, two washcloths, and a hand towel
*A desk file organizer
*A pot <---since I'm a macaroni and cheese/Ramen chef
*Wastebasket for my room
*Silverware set <---also pretty cheap so I snagged it while I could

If you ask me, that was a pretty decent dent that I put into my apartment "List of things to get." Now these are the things that are on the list TO GET.

*Wastebasket for bathroom <---might make the roommates chip in for that since I've gotten some silverware and plates and stuffs
*Power surges
*Mattress feather bed <---makes the bed more comfortable
*Pillows
*Some more cookware <---again, may have the roommates get some of that stuff
*Laundry Hamper
*Some more storage stuff
*Maybe a bike

That pretty much covers it. Anything else anyone would suggest? I'd really really like a bike so I can just ride it to school. Save gas, avoid traffic, be green. The cool stuff. Also, the exercise part is nice. :) I found a really nice bike on Target.com that is like, $128...but my grandmother told me just to take one of the bikes she has here. v_v One is super old and doesn't even have gears and I think the other one is too small for me. We'll see. Maybe I'll have enough left on my gift card to get a bike. :) Ah! I'm so excited!

Calculus is going okay. I have my second test on Wednesday and it deals with derivatives (which isn't terrible) and also, implicit differentiation....which, I really can't remember what that is. We also have this section that deals with some crazy stuff that I can't understand. Hopefully I figure it out by Wednesday. I got an 86% on my first test, which I was so excited about! That's so like an A to me. :P I should probably get more of that homework done. Our graded homework is due on Monday and I haven't started it. I hope I don't have any trouble with it because I can't really go see my teacher about it. Oh well.

UCF is trying to make me pay out of state tuition. I'm not paying $18,000 for one year of college when I've already lived here for two years and I'm paying instate tuition at the community college. Uh, no. SJRCC has me down as an instate student. I've already paid out of state tuition there, why should I have to pay it again?? Again...no. :P

UF on the other hand, didn't accept me. Why? Because I apparently never met their "foreign langauge" requirement. I took three years of Latin in HS, and UCF has the same language requirements as UF....so why did they say this? Because they lost a page of my HS transcript, which of course, was the one that said I had 3 years of a foreign language. SOO, I had to go back to the HS and pay another $2 for another transcript. They better not screw this one up. v_v

I'm taking a summer class at SJRCC. MM....calculus. Exciting. I get the goosebumps just thinking about it. (not really)

I did graduate and get my A.A. though. That was pretty fun. Well, not the ceremony, but we went and saw Ironman after the graduation. It was kind of uncomfortable though to sit in the theater with a dress on. *shrug*

Will got promoted! Yay! For him anyways....now they won't let us work together, so my hours in cafe get cut and I get shoved back to bookside for half of the week. Oh well, money is money, right?

My friend Alethea is coming to visit from Gainesville tomorrow. I'm excited. I haven't seen her for a whole...two weeks. :) She was the old lead until Will punched her and she had to go to the Shands hospital in Gainesville. No, not really. She graduated and moved. Not as exciting, eh?

So that's it. My dad wants me to come to NC and teach him how to use a computer, but with the outrageous gas prices, I don't think that is possible. :/

I tried googling a bunch of stuff but there wasn't anywhere that had anything that I found remotely appealing. v_v

Other than that, I bought the movie. (at 12:45AM Tuesday at Wal-Mart) I guess I like it for being a movie but if I had to judge it based on loyalty to the book, it kinda sucked. :/

School's out also....and I'm getting lots and lots of hours that I love because now I can make my car payment and buy Christmas presents. :) I already bought something for my grandmother...I'll probably give Kelsey the code from Domino's for a free 48 hour trial for X-box live....I have NO idea what I'm getting Will for X-mas.....(which sucks because I HAD ideas but then I find out that those are items he will already be getting) I also want to get something for Judy and Alethea at work. I have an idea, but that idea may take me roughly....more than 13 days to do..... Bummer...unless I get my ass moving...heh.
My first experience drinking tequila...

No, there really wasn't much of an experience. I think I had a 1/2 a shot of it. It wasn't just any kind of tequila. It was Chili Pepper Tequila. I'm not exactly sure if that is what it was, but the bottle had to chili peppers soaking in the tequila.
..
It was like drinking clear tabasco sauce x3...and washing it down with a coke wasn't the brightest idea. :/

Anyways...Will and I went to Orlando for Thanksgiving. It was a big change for him considering he said that his Thanksgiving has 1/2 the people that mine did. Tonight we had, Will, my grandmother, Kelsey, Aunt Jan, Uncle Byron, my aunt's brother Jack, his daughter Katya, my aunts father and mother, my cousin Kristen and Rich, and their kids Adam and Elizabeth. Fourteen people. We had to have two separate tables, heh. It was fun though. We had all the food that I was used to eating with my parents. Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, stuffing, mm...and turkey, which I never had with my parents because my dad doesn't like turkey. I drove there and back because my grandmother drives slow and it would have taken us over 2 hours to get there if she drove. (with me it only took exactly 1 hour and 40 minutes) For dessert we had pumpkin cheesecake from the Dream Factory. I ordered it from work. Oh it was amazing. My aunt dished the first piece and wound up wearing it. :P After dessert we all took family pictures. Will got to be in them because everyone considers him part of the family. :) We took three sets of photos, my aunt's side of the family, my uncle's side of the family, and a group photo. Will tried to sit out of the photo with my uncle's side of the family but my aunt and grandmother said that we're pretty much going to be married someday so he might as well get in the picture. Yay. :)

Oh, and I am typing on my new computer that is awesomely amazing. (that made no sense but it is true) *plays with fingerprint reader* I thought I wouldn't like Vista either but it actually turned out to be pretty awesome. I don't really find it much different that XP but maybe because I haven't really tried to do anything special. :) Goodnight Ya'll and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Approximately three weeks ago...my laptop broke. Yeah, mucho sucky. This is the cause for my absence online or from doing anything. The only computer access I have is my grandmother's computer and I don't like updating on it because anyone can come into the room and see what I am typing. Bah....Two Sundays ago I ordered a new computer. They told me that the approximate ship date would be the 6th of November. On the 6th, I went to check the status and they said that it had been shipped...it's the 9th now and it's still not here. What do they mean by "2-day air?" That it will take two days to get into the US and then another 5 or so to get to my house!? I really don't want a $1600 piece of hardware just juggling through the mail that long. Last time I checked, at 11:43PM it was in Anchorage, Alaska. It says something like "Int'l shipment release." I don't know what that means but I really wish I knew the speculated route this thing was supposed to be taking. Where are they going after Alaska? Directly to Atlanta? Jacksonville? Then they have to check it in, then drive it here...and blah blah blah. (I obviously have no patience) I kind of need this thing to do my homework and type up papers and stuff. For all I know I could get my Microsoft Office 2007 before I get the darn computer that I put it on. If I go an order some stupid piece of jewelry off the internet...I don't care if it takes a week! I wouldn't care if it took 3 weeks, I probably would have forgotten about the stupid thing...but this is a computer that I really want right now so I can start my biology notes. v_v

On a not-complaining note...school is going well. :P I work at 7 tonight and then I'm staying the night at a friends house with another friend and we're having a slumber party!
I don't know. I guess I'm just sitting here thinking about a lot of stuff. My heart right now hurts for friends of mine. (one of which probably doesn't consider me a friend, but I still consider him a friend even though *said friend* got on my case about some stuff, as I just found out because I never read my e-mail) Part of me is angry because some people can't keep their mouth shut about anything and pretends she knows what going on in my life, which she doesn't.

Chad, I know this may not seem like anything to you, but I really do care about you and Shannon. Yes, Will and I have canceled plans to hang out with you guys, but in all honesty, school was the reason and I'd swear that reason on my life. During the summer my sister was visiting and I was trying to get school stuff figured out because they were screwing me over. I have three night classes this semester and whenever I'm not in class at night or during the day. I am working. Whenever I'm at Will's house, regardless of what Persimmon says, he does his homework on the computer, and I am doing homework on my own. I am taking 7 classes this semester. 6 of those classes are science courses with labs. The only time that I spend with Will is 12 at night because during the day, I'm doing homework. She might say we play video games or whatever...but it's not like she's in the room with us. She might SAY that he's over my house...but it's not like she is there to verify what is going on. Right now...my social life is ZERO. I see my friends very rarely because of school. Most of my friends are the people I work with and the only two friends that I didn't work with moved to Las Vegas and Puerto Rico. On another note, if I was a fake, I wouldn't give anyone whom I didn't care about the time of day. I comment on you guy's journal because I do care and I want to try to keep in touch. Being a fake and putting on an act is too much effort for me, so I wouldn't bother doing that. I just, wouldn't talk to you if I didn't like you. It's hard for me to keep in contact with half of my friends but they don't get on my case about it because they KNOW that I'm up to my head in school. Trying to get straight A's, applying for colleges, working my butt off. If you are going to judge me based on what Persimmon says, then fine. Do that. But please, please remember she doesn't know anything about me. Also, she doesn't like me, so she is going to say things to you that aren't true to get you to turn on me...which obviously, has already happened. Like I said, none of this may mean anything to you...but that's what I had to say. Take it however you want. Either way...I still care about you guys more than you know. :)

Speaking of being mobbed with school, I have Biology at 9:25 tomorrow and Chemistry at 12:15....I got my Chemistry test back today. 87.1 - not too bad. It's chemistry and I never was really good at it. I also got my Pre-calculus test back. That I did awesome on. 96....nice. I have an Anatomy test on Monday and a Biology test on Tuesday so I have been making notecards GALORE for those tests. :P

I must sleep....it's like...3

That pretty much explains my life right now. Really, really, boring. It's always the same stuff...week by week (except Will. Thank GOD he keeps things exciting). Work. Sleep. School. Eat. Sleep. School. Eat. Work. Sleep. That is in no particular order by the way. I had my first Precalculus test last week. I got a 68....fucker. My first Biology test was a while ago. I got a 78. Not completely horrible, but enough to make me cry a little. The biology test I took today I got an A. The thing is, I hadn't scored lower than a 90 on any of my tests in 7 months. But the sucky grades..uh..sucked...and boy does that drop my confidence. My Chemistry test I pulled an 87.7 on. You can tell I have high standards for myself right now...*sarcasm* v_v The bonus we had for our Chem test was funny though...It was written on the board and it had nothing to do with Chemistry, but that doesn't bother me because I got it right. It said:
1 4 $ & 2 4 show
We just had to figure out what it meant. And I'm not telling you because if you don't know it....I'mma slap you. I also got the highest test score in my Anatomy class. Boo-yah. 98.
My GPA stands at a 3.2 and I have applied to UF and FSU so far. I am in the middle of applying to UCF and then I'm going to apply to UNF. I hope at least one of them takes my sorry ass (smack me now). I know for a fact that I am awesome in History and that is what my major will be 100%. I *love* history. One thing I am definitely hoping for is that Ms. Ubbels plans a Greece trip for the summer. If she does, I'm DEFINITELY going!!!!! <3 Greece....so that means I shall brush up on my Greek skills (that don't even EXIST)
Work was cutting my hours for about a month, but I was able to get more next week which is awesome because I neeeeds the $$. Money is so nice. $^_^$ I wish I had so much I could swim in it (after disinfecting it all about 5,000 times). But my hours have been cut again. :(
Seriously, my life is boring...can't you tell?

On top of everything else, I've been watching Naruto (Anime). Pretty good show. I'm enjoying everything so far but I hear that after the Chuunin exams, the rest of the episodes are a waste of time until the second half started. The opening song for episodes like...50 and stuff...is awesome. ^_^

Anyways....I'm going to do some math HW.

It is really pissing me off. I called the dean at 12:30 and it's been 3 hours and still no answer. I have to leave for work in a about an hour and I HIGHLY doubt that I am going to get a phone call within that time. He called me back on Friday, but I was a work and he just left a message.
You know what I'm getting sick of?

Having to stay up until 12 every single night, waiting at the computer, so I can re-register for my classes after they get dropped.

SJRCC only gives you 24 hours to pay or else they drop your classes.

You know why I have to wait? Because the stupid school has to process my "re-classification" form that says I've lived in FLA for a year.

Seriously...can't I just show you my driver's license and be done!?? NooOOoo...that's too simple. >_<

Hopefully that form is processed by Thursday, or there's going to be a smackdown. Lol.

You know what cheers me up though???

My costume is done!!!!! *dances*
